Lancaster-Lebanon League passing efficiency leaders . . . thru Week 9

Through nine weeks of the season three Lancaster-Lebanon League passers have completed better than 70 percent of their passes — an unprecedented number.

Conestoga Valley’s Sawyer Esbenshade is connecting on 73.4 percent, just ahead of Twin Valley’s Maverik Foster (73.2). Manheim Township’s Jack Kenneff has been successful on 70.9 percent of his throws.

Esbenshade also leads in passing yards and touchdowns; Foster remains the only starting quarterback in the league without an interception.

Wilson’s Mason Young is second in the league with 22 TD passes, third with 1,619 passing yards, and fourth with a 66.9 percent completion rates. Overall, he’s fourth in passing efficiency.

Here are the Lancaster-Lebanon League passing efficiency leaders, based on NCAA formula, through Week 5.

Formula incorporates completion percentage, yards-per-attempt, percentage of touchdown passes, and percentage of interceptions. Minimum: 7 attempts per game.
