Diamond Credit Union Lineman of the Week

The Kutztown Cougars have had plenty to celebrate lately.
Friday they opened the season with a win 27-14 win over Shenandoah Valley. Now, sophomore tackle Tyler Hallock has been named the inaugural Diamond Credit Union Lineman of the Week.
The 6-1, 255-pound defensive tackle recorded four tackles, two hurries and two sacks as the Cougars held Shenandoah Valley to just 11 rushing yards on 11 attempts.
The Blue Devils managed only seven first downs and were limited to 36 offensive plays.
“Tyler is a hard-working young man with great character” said Cougars coach Larry Chester. “He committed to the off-season (workouts) and it shows tremendously!”
“Our expectations for Tyler are the same as for all of our young players: Keep learning the basics, improve every week and keep having fun.”
Hallock plays guard on offense and helped the Cougars pile up 394 rushing yards and 443 total yards.
After a long losing streak Kutztown has won two straight games. It beat Shenandoah Valley 36-0 in last year’s season finale.
