The Kutztown Cougars are on a winning streak.
Quarterback Jacob Lafferty and tailback Lennon Neiman each rushed for over 100 yards and scored touchdowns as the Cougars defeated Shenandoah Valley 27-14 in a non-league game Friday at Shenandoah.

The win is the first in a season-opener for Kutztown since 2009.
Neiman’s 10-yard run early in the fourth quarter gave the Cougars the lead for good, at 21-14; they followed by recovering an onside kick, and scored again when Lafferty broke off a 43-yard scoring run. David Ruhf recovered the onside kick for Kutztown.
