Forty-seven seems to be the magic number for the Hamburg Hawks.
Tristan Baer ran for a pair of first-quarter touchdowns and Hamburg went on to mercy-rule visiting Northern Lebanon Friday, beating the Vikings 47-6 in a non-league game.

Hamburg opened with a 47-20 win over York Vo-Tech.
Baer finished with 84 yards rushing on 13 carries. Pierce Mason rushed for 73 yards on eight carries and scored on second-quarter runs of 6 and 49 yards.
The Hawks (2-0) led 33-0 at the half.
Quarterback Xander Menapace connect on all six of his passes, throwing for 107 yards; he threw a pair of TD passes, 2 yards to Diohnny Ruiz and 25 yards to Aiden Readinger.
Hamburg limited the Vikings (1-1) to three first downs and 95 total yards, including just 10 yards rushing.
The Hawks are in their first season under head coach Jeff Chillot. They finished 3-3 last season.
They can match their best start since 2013 by beating Mahanoy Area (0-2) next week. The Golden Bears have been shut out in each of their first two games, against Williams Valley and Tri-Valley.
Hamburg started 3-0 in 2013, opening with wins over Elco, Annville-Cleona and Northern Lebanon.
