It’s a perfect finish for Raiders, especially for Greyson Miller

Linemen like Twin Valley defensive tackle Greyson Miller don’t typically get the opportunity to intercept passes.
On his Senior Night, Miller intercepted a pair of passes, both of which he returned for touchdowns in the Raiders’ 71-7 win over Daniel Boone in Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 4 play Friday at Twin Valley Stadium.

“Our linebackers gave me a really good screen call,” Miller said. “I heard them in the back of my head and knew I had to read my keys . . . the other D-linemen read some blocks and freed it up. I just saw the ball and made the play.”
The win secured the Section 4 crown for the Raiders (7-0, 10-0), who finished the regular season undefeated for the first time in the program’s 29-year history.
The 71 points is the most ever scored by the Raiders, who have been one of the highest-scoring teams in the state all season. They’re averaging 54 points per game.
“We’ve just got a really good group of guys that work really hard and enjoy playing ball together,” Twin Valley coach Brett Myers said.
The Twin Valley defense produced five turnovers, add three fumble recoveries, one of which was returned 20 yards to the end zone by Keenan Munn.

Twin Valley’s defensive front of Miller, Liam Sheehan, Aaryn Sumner, and Andrew Cabigas spent more time in Daniel Boone’s backfield than on its own side of the line of scrimmage. The Raiders limited the Blazers (1-6, 1-9) to 3 rushing yards in the first half and 85 overall.
“(Our assistant coaches) do a great job game-plan wise,” Myers said. “It’s impressive what they get our kids to do and learn . . . our guys really homed in on their keys and they don’t miss many run fits.”
The Raiders offense found the end zone five times in the first half. Two of those scores belonged to Ben Grundy, who ran for a 13-yard score on Twin Valley’s first offensive play before taking a 30-yard Jet Sweep in for a touchdown pass in the second frame.
Drew Engle also took a 23-yard Jet Sweep pass for a score and ran the ball in from 12 yards out. Lucas Myers also ran for a 31-yard touchdown in the first quarter.
“It always starts with our O-line,” quarterback Maverik Foster said. “They just have the confidence to go out there and do their job, walking everybody down the field all the way to the end zone, never stopping. They just have a great mentality coming into every game.”
Daniel Boone found the end zone on a 2-yard pass from Dominic Stout to Bradley Floria early in the fourth quarter. It was the Blazers’ only complete pass of the game. Boone ends the season with one win for the third consecutive year. The Blazers took down Northern Lebanon 26-23 last week.
| SECTION 4 | League | Overall |

Ahead of the 2022 season, Myers took over a Twin Valley program that had never won a District 3 playoff game and has since produced winning seasons every year, along with two section titles and now the undefeated regular season.
“We’ve got really good families whose kids work really hard,” Myers said. “I think our team mirrors our community . . . we’re really not flashy; we run the ball, we block and we play defense.”
The Raiders will have a first-round bye in the District 3 Class 4A playoffs. They’ll host a quarterfinal game Nov. 7.
“We come out here every week, just giving our all,” Foster said. “Just stacking our days and working hard.”
After all the Raiders have accomplished this season, it seems like they may only be getting started.
