Last meeting: Madyx Gruber threw a touchdown pass and had a Pick-Six as the Bulldogs defeated the Colonials 21-7 last year at Gurski Stadium. Wilson led 21-0 after Gruber’s INT in the final minute of the third quarter. The Colonials scored their only TD with under five minutes to go; they were held to 93 rushing yards on 30 carries. Bulldogs linebacker EJ Brownback had 4 ½ tackles for loss.
Bulldogs update: Mason Young, making his first start at QB, threw a pair of first-quarter TDs to help build a 21-0 first-half lead en route to a 35-24 victory last week against Cheltenham at Gurski Stadium. . . Young finished 17-of-22 for 190 yards with three TD passes. . . Correll Akings ran for a 3-yard TD, caught a 20-yard TD pass, combined for 85 total yards and had an INT. . . All-State TE Michael Glover had five catches for 77 yards and a pair of sacks. . . LB EJ Brownback had team-leading 6 tackles. . . Defense yielded a pair of fourth-quarter TDs and surrendered 329 passing yards. . . Bulldogs coming off an 11-2 season that saw them win the Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1 title and reach the District 3 Class 6A title game.

Colonials update: Gave up late touchdown pass in 40-35 opening-week loss to West Chester Henderson. . . QB Cole Reilly scored on 7-yard run with 4:41 left to give his team 35-34 lead. . . Piled up 432 total yards and 24 first downs but were hurt by four turnovers. . . Did not have any takeaways. . . Reilly, in his first start at QB, ran for 102 yards on 22 carries and threw for 162 yards. . . He threw three passes into the end zone in the final minute in bid to pull out the win, but each attempt was batted down. . . Defense yielded 222 passing yards. . . . Graduated 18 starters from team that finished 9-3 and won fourth straight Suburban One League American Conference championship. . . Six graduating seniors went on to play college football. . . Top defensive player is DE Amir Butler, who had seven sacks as a junior.
