
Tanner Maddocks ran for one score and passed for another before Henderson pulled away with a pair of late TDs for a 27-14 non-league victory over the Tigers at West Chester Friday night.
Maddocks, a senior quarterback committed to Villanova, tied the game 14-14 in the third quarter with a 29-yard pass to Mason Musitano.
Maddocks gave the Tigers their only lead at 7-6 in the second quarter when he scored on a 20-yard run.
He completed 14-of-23 passes for 232 yards and also ran nine times for 50 yards; he was also picked off twice.
Gavin Morris led the Tigers with 77 rushing yards on 15 carries.
Musitano and Will Ryan each had three receptions for 51 yards.
Gage Moyer rushed for 52 yards and had four catches for 59 yards.
The Tigers produced 508 total yards of offense but were hurt by four turnovers — two interceptions and two fumbles, one on a muffed punt — and eight penalties for 70 yards. The Warriors turned it over just once and 343 total yards.
Henderson led 14-7 at the half.
Maddocks passed for 1,256 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior.
The game was the first between the two schools.
The Warriors went 2-3 season; the Tigers finished 2-5.
Fleetwood has its home opener Thursday against Annville-Cleona; the Little Dutchmen had to postpone their opener due to a COVID situation at the school.
