Reading High meets Cedar Crest tonight for the first time since 2009, when the Falcons hung a 70-35 loss on the Red Knights.

Overall, the Red Knights lead the series 13-8.

The Red Knights and Falcons were Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1 rivals from 1987 until 2009; Reading joined the Inter-County League in 2010.

Wyomissing has not lost a regular season game since Oct. 27, 2018, when it lost 28-7 to Berks Catholic at Forino Sports Complex.

The Spartans have won 30 straight regular season games, tying the Berks record set by Wilson in 2015.

They won their final 16 Berks Football League Section 2 games and have won 18 consecutive league games, including two this season in Section 4 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League.

Muhlenberg and Manheim Central meet tonight at Rettew Field for the first time in a regular season game.

The Muhls and Barons have met twice previously, both times in District 3 championship games.

Manheim Central won 46-22 in 1998, ending Muhlenberg’s perfect season, and 48-21 in 2005.

Wilson has claimed the Gurski-Linn Trophy seven times in the 10 years since it was inaugurated, in 2012.

Overall, the Bulldogs lead the series 37-27.

Wilson won the first meeting in 1954, 25-0; Mifflin proceeded to win the next 12 games.

Annville-Cleona’s Phoenix Music needs 13 yards to become the first back in the Lancaster-Lebanon League to top 1,000 rushing yards this season.

Hamburg’s Pierce Mason is second in the league in rushing, with 847 yards.

Annville-Cleona plays at Kutztown tonight; Hamburg is at Lancaster Catholic.
