Wyomissing’s win over Boyertown last week was its 18th straight in the regular season and 14th in a row at the A-Field. The Spartans will have a chance to extend both streaks Saturday against Hamburg.
Wyo’s last regular season loss, and home loss, came in 2018 to Berks Catholic, 28-7.
The Spartans’ record for consecutive wins is 22, in 2005-06.
They ended the 2005 season with a win over Palisades in the Eastern Conference title game and ended the 2006 season with a loss to Wilson Area in the PIAA semifinals.

Lennon Neiman of Kutztown is Berks’ leading rusher, with 661 yards in three games. He’s averaging 14.7 yards per carry, which is also tops in Berks (for anyone with 20 or more carries).
The Cougars have not had a 1,000-yard rusher since 2010; they have never had a Berks rushing champ.

Before last week, when it fell to Exeter 42-14, Wilson had not lost in back-to-back weeks since 2003.
The Bulldogs had not lost consecutive games by four touchdowns or more since 1993, when they opened the season with a 27-0 loss to Pottsville and a 32-6 loss to Owen J. Roberts.
Wilson plays Martin Luther King tonight at Gurski Stadium.
In case you’re wondering, it has not lost three straight games since 2001, when it fell to Whitehall, Cedar Crest and McCaskey in Weks 3, 4 and 5, to fall to 2-3.

Twin Valley’s Trey Freeman, who leads Berks with 17 receptions, needs six more to break the program career record of 81, set by Nick Kurtz in 2019.
Freeman already owns Raiders records for career receiving yards (1,473) and touchdown receptions (13).

Southern Columbia, which hosts Wyomissing in Week 6, has outscored its three opponents 135-15.
The Tigers have won 63 straight games since losing in the 2016 PIAA Class 2A championship game to Steel Valley. They have won four consecutive state titles.
The Tigers are (not surprisingly) ranked No. 1 in the state in Class 2A.
