1. Twin Valley is looking for its first 3-0 start in 12 years. The Raiders, under first-year head coach Kris Olson, edged Garden Spot in OT and beat Daniel Boone 19-10.
They head to Upper Merion, which is 1-1 and coming off a 23-7 win over Norristown.
In 2009 the Raiders opened with wins over Wyomissing, Holy Name and Kennett en route to a 5-5 finish (while playing in Berks I).

2. Sometimes a change of scenery can do wonders. Jeff Chillot and Hamburg are off to a 2-0 start; neither has been 3-0 since 2013.
The Hawks head to Mahanoy Area after a 47-20 win over York Vo-Tech and a 47-6 win over Northern Lebanon. The Golden Bears have yet to score in two losses.
Chillot is in his first season with the Hawks after coaching at Schuylkill Valley for 12 seasons. He took the Panthers to a 4-0 start in 2013, when they finished 7-3 and with a win over Wyomissing.

3. Conrad Weiser’s Logan Klitsch threw a TD pass in last week’s 38-7 win over Muhlenberg, giving him 29 in his career. That tied the program record set by Tyler Hoss in 2015.
Klitsch is chasing a bunch of Scouts records; he’s less than 500 passing yards away from Jim Debeic’s career record of 3,682.
4. After two weeks there are just four undefeated Class 6A teams in District 3: Cedar Crest, Carlisle, Central York and Harrisburg.

Manheim Township, a top contender the last several seasons, plays Harrisburg Saturday at noon.
That game was put together quickly after the Cougars’ scheduled opponent, Bishop McDevitt, and the Blue Streaks’ opponent, Central Dauphin, each had to shut down due to COVID issues.
5. Twin Valley’s Dominic Caruso needs just 57 rushing yards to reach 3,000 in his career. He’ll be the 29th in Berks history to hit that milestone.
He needs 725 more yards to crack into Berks’ all-time Top 10.
Caruso set the program rushing record as a junior; he also has Raiders records for career touchdowns, career rushing TDs, rushign attempts in a season and career and rushing yards in a game.
