The Eagles have trailed in only one game this season, 17-7 in the second quartrer at Manheim Central. They shut the Barons out in the second half and won 21-17.

Wyomissing did not allow a first-quarter touchdown in its first 11 games and did not trail by more than 3 points before falling behind West Perry 7-0 last week. The Spartans have outscored their opponents 464-41 over the first three quarters.

The No. 1 seed has won the District 3 Class 6A championship just once in seven years: Harrisburg in 2018. Saturday’s championship game matches No. 5 Manheim Township at No. 3 Harrisburg.
The Cougars are the only team with two 6A titles; the Blue Streaks can win their second. They won 24-20 at Harrisburg in Week 3.

Manheim Central and Bishop McDevitt are tied for most overall victories in the District 3 Tournament with 61. They meet for the Class 4A championship Friday at Bishop McDevitt.
The Barons are going for their record 19th title. McDevitt is tied with Steel-High for second with 15 championships (the Rollers won the Class 1A title two weeks ago).
Cumberland Valley is fourth with 13 championships, Wyomissing fifth with 11.

No team higher than a No. 8 has ever won a District 3 championship in any classification, and only two No. 8’s — in 170 tournaments, among all classifications — has won. No. 12 Cocalico is bidding to become the first when it plays No. 2 Exeter in the Class 5A championship Friday at 7 at Don Thomas Stadium.
