Exeter has beaten Daniel Boone 10 straight times, the longest winning streak in the series, which began in 1960.
The Blazers had won eight in a row, under former coach Dave Bodolus, before the Eagles started this streak in 2012, Matt Bauer’s fourth season as Exeter coach.
Exeter leads the series 41-22-1, and 38-18-1 since the Pig Iron Trophy was first put up for grabs in 1966.
The teams have met every season since 1960 with the exception of 2021, when the game was cancelled due to COVID-19 issues.

Before last season Wilson owned the record, winning 30 straight from 2012-15.

Gov. Mifflin kicks off its 70th season tonight at Spring-Ford.
The Mustangs first played in 1954, after the merger of Shillington High and Mohnton High.
Ray Linn took over as head coach in Mifflin’s third season and brought home the first of seven Tri-County League championships in his fourth season.
The Mustangs’ best seasons have come over the last 15 years, under Mick Vecchio and now Jeff Lang. They won 14 section titles in the final 17 years of the Berks League and claimed their only District 3 championship in 2020, when Nick Singleton was a junior.
