FREDERICKSBURG — Twin Valley quarterback Evan Myers reached a milestone as the Raiders remained undefeated with a 42-0 Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 4 win at Northern Lebanon Friday night.

Myers surpassed the 5,000-yard passing mark for his career with a 19-yard completion to Ben Grundy in the last minute of the second quarter.

He had entered the game needing 44 yards for the milestone. In a heavy rain, Myers finished 11-for-20 for 135 yards with an interception. He also rushed for 122 yards on 18 carries, scoring twice.

The one time that Northern Lebanon might have stopped Twin Valley’s momentum was in the middle of the second period. The Raiders (3-0, 6-0) were already up 14-0 but had a fourth-and-1 at the Vikings 35-yard line. Myers, after taking a snap that almost sailed past him, ran for 5 yards to keep the drive going. Four plays later, Myers scored on a 27-yard keeper for a 21-0 lead with 4:10 left in the half.

Evan Johnson led the Raiders with 177 rushing yards on 14 attempts. He scored three touchdowns, including the first two for Twin Valley, a 3-yard score in the first quarter and a 48-yard run in the second period. He also added a 6-yard score with 2:58 left in the second quarter for a 28-0 lead at intermission.

Gavin Crawford recovered a fumble and a blocked punt for the Raider defense.

The Twin Valley special teams also blocked a field goal attempt. Grundy also had an 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, but that play was called back on an illegal block.

Through three quarters, Twin Valley held Northern Lebanon (1-2, 2-4) to 11 yards and one first down. The Vikings finished with 48 yards of offense and four first downs.

The Raiders were called for 15 penalties for 120 yards.

The Raiders will look to stay undefeated next Friday night when they host Donegal.
