District playoff history: Wyomissing has 12 championships, took five straight from 2019-2023 and has reached the title game six straight years. It lost to Lampeter-Strasburg 30-27 in overtime in last year’s title game. Overall, the Spartans are 45-19, and 21-8 in semifinals. . . Susquehanna Township is looking for its first trip to the championship game since 2015; it has never won a district title. It went out in the first round last year to Twin Valley, 47-19.
Fast fact: Wyomissing in 2023 became the first Berks County football team to win five consecutive district championships.


Spartans update: A 23-6 win over Lampeter-Strasburg in quarterfinals gave program five straight 10-plus win seasons for the first time. . . All-State defensive back Justice Hardy had a sack, blocked a field goal, and forced a fumble in the red zone to spark the defensive effort. . . Senior FB Chase Eisenhower scored two touchdowns, including one on a 33-yard pass from his brother, soph QB Brady Eisenhower. . . Chase Eisenhower rushed for 84 yards and needs 32 more to become the third 3,000-yard rusher in program history following Gregory Lord (3,116) and Kevin Neff (3,109). . . He needs 149 yards to top Neff’s program record. . . Hardy is averaging 11.1 yards per carry and leads team with 823 rushing yards and 16 TDs. . . Brady Eisenhower has seen 12 of his 32 completions go for TDs. He’s completing 65.3 percent of his passes and has compiled a 227.1 passing efficiency rating, the highest in the league; he doesn’t qualify for the leaderboard because of insufficient attempts. . .
