District playoff history: Twin Valley is making its fifth straight appearance and has earned a win in each of the past four seasons; 4-4 overall. Has never advanced past semifinals. . . West York seeking fourth championship and first since 2008. Lost in semifinals to Wyomissing last year. Overall: 20-14 in 19 appearances.

Common opponents: Twin Valley beat Elco 60-0 and Donegal 49-14 . . . West York beat Elco 42-7 and Donegal 45-8.

Fast fact: Twin Valley’s first-string defense has allowed two first-half touchdowns in 11 games.

Raiders update: Completed first unbeaten regular season in program history. . . Set program record for wins last week with 55-15 win over West Perry in quarterfinal. . . Set record in 2023 with 10 wins. . . Record-breaking Drew Engle rushed for career-high 212 yards and scored five touchdowns against West Perry. . . The senior has scored a program-record 29 TDs, tied for most in Berks, and last week became program’s all-time scoring leader with 53 TDs. . . He has a team-leading 1,324 rushing yards and needs 276 yards to break the single-season mark of 1,599, which he set in 2023. . . Needs 244 yards to become program’s all-time leading rusher. . . Junior Lucas Myers needs 55 yards to give team a pair of 1,000-yard rushers for the second time. . . He has 18 TDs and is averaging team-best 11.8 yards per carry. . . Did you know? When Drew Brandt kicked a 38-yard field last week West Perry became the first team to score against Twin Valley in the first quarter this year, and the first to take a lead over the Raiders. That lead lasted all of 15 seconds as Drew Engle ran 80 yards for a TD following the kickoff.

Bulldogs update: Lone loss came in Week 8 to New Oxford, 14-7. New Oxford is unbeaten and the No. 1 seed in 5A. . . Have limited 9-of-11 opponents to one touchdown or less, with two shutouts. . . Allowing 7.2 points per game, lowest of any team in District 3, and fourth-lowest among Class 4A teams in the state. . . Defense has recorded 96 tackles for loss, 32 sacks and 25 takeaways. . . Top defender is soph all-league DE Logan Boyer, who has 23 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. . . Junior all-league ILB Daegan Trostel has 10 tackles for loss. . . Senior Slade Moore was an All-State pick last year and an all-league pick this season at both C and DT.  He suffered a leg injury in last week’s 20-0 win over Middletown and ended the game on the sidelines on crutches. . . Junior S Julius Fuentes-Bream has more than 20 Division I offers; he played last season for Bishop McDevitt’s PIAA Class 5A championship team. . . Pass-heavy offense is led by soph QB Jensen Ferber, who completed 11-of-14 passes for 110 yards last week in 20-0 win over Middletown. . . He has thrown for 2,408 yards and 29 TDs this season and shared Offensive Player of the Year honors in Division 2 of the York/Adams League. . . Ferber threw five touchdowns and passed for 255 yards in a season-ending 50-7 win over Dover. . . Top target is all-league WR Julius Madden, who has 48 catches for 747 yards and 10 TDs. . . Also has all-league targets in WR Janziel Torres and TE Jamen Garnett. . . All-League PK Tyler Kuhn has been good on 47-of-50 PATS and two field goals. . . Graduated 18 seniors from team that went 9-3 and reached district semifinals. . . Moved into PennLive.com state rankings this week at No. 9.

Fast fact: Twin Valley needs 10 points to become just the fourth in Berks history to score 600 points in a season and 82 to become the highest-scoring team in Berks history. The Raiders are averaging 54.0 points per game, second-most in the state. They had a winning margin of 46.0 in the regular season, the highest in Berks history.

Fast fact: Twin Valley had a pair of 1,000-yard rushers in 2023, when Drew Engle gained 1,599 yards and Evan Johnson 1,089. They are the second-most productive rushing duo in Berks history. The record was set by Governor Mifflin’s Wilson Fontanez and Jan Johnson in 2014; they rushed for 2,831 yards.

Winner plays: No. 1 Susquehanna Township (11-0) or No. 4 Wyomissing (10-1) for championship Nov. 21 at a neutral site to be determined.
