Diamond Credit Union Lineman of the Week
Boyertown has faced nothing but big challenges this season: State-ranked Wyomissing, Exeter, Spring-Ford, Owen J. Roberts. The Bears faced another Friday, in Methacton and its highly rated lineman, Tommy Dickinson.
The Bears rose to the challenge, as did their top lineman, Kyle Pry, who went head-to-head with Dickinson and helped Boyertown to a 42-11 PAC Liberty victory. The Bears rushed for 334 yards and out-gained the Warriors by a nearly 2-to-1 margin.

Pry earned a 95 percent blocking grade, was credited with four pancake blocks and is this week’s Diamond Credit Union Lineman of the Week.
“Kyle was hurt for a few games early in the season,” said Bears coach T.J. Miller. “Now that he’s back, our offense is starting to pick up because of his leadership on the line.”
Pry is a 6-2, 250-pound senior and a three-year starter at guard; he’s especially effective pulling for sweeps. He also plays defensive tackle.
“Kyle has been our most consistent linemen all year,” Miller said. “He went toe-to-toe with a Division 1-caliber talent (Friday) and won the battle every play.”
(The 6-5, 280-pound Dickinson has offers from Fordham and Morehead State.)
“Kyle works hard every day,” Miller said. “He has really developed a true lineman mentality of ‘team before self.’ He’s the anchor of our line.”
Pry is the first Boyertown player selected for Player of the Week honors this season.
