Daniel Boone’s Ryan Souder is Body Zone Physical Therapy Defensive Player of the Week
Body Zone Physical Therapy Defensive Player of the Week

Daniel Boone linebacker Ryan Souder is an emotional football player. When the sophomore makes a big hit he gets excited and so do his teammates.
“Ryan Souder plays with a high level of intensity,” said Daniel Boone coach Rob Flowers. “When he makes a big play, we all feel it and the sideline gets energized.”
After a third straight win, the latest 33-14 over Ephrata, the Blazers have lots to be excited about.
The 5-8, 166-pound Souder was in the middle of everything against Ephrata, making a team-leading eight tackles, with a sack and two tackles for loss to earn Body Zone Physical Therapy Defensive Player of the Week honors.
The Blazers defense did an outstanding job, limiting the Mounts to one offensive touchdown and just 71 total yards.
Andre Weidman, one of the top running backs in the Lancaster-Lebanon League, was held to a season-low 57 yards on 17 attempts. His 687 rushing yards rank second in the league. He had 630 yards and eight TDs through the first four games.
“Ryan Souder is our leader on the defense,” Flowers said. “He makes all calls and checks. He is leading our team in tackles. When he had that sack on Friday, it was a perfect play and tackle. We are lucky to have him holding our defense down.”
