ATGLEN — Octorara opened Lancaster-Lebanon Section 4 play Friday night with a 42-28 win against a pesky Daniel Boone team that would not go away.
Brayden Mastrippolitto led the way for the Braves, scoring four rushing touchdowns while rushing for 250 yards. He even added a Pick-Six. Mastrippolitto opened the scoring with a 38-yard touchdown run early in the first quarter while adding the interception return for a touchdown mere minutes later.

Mastrippolitto admitted he knew before the game his team was going to win by believing in its brotherhood. The Blazers (0-4) did not make it easy, though.
Dominic Stoudt and Hadyn Moyer had other plans, as they spearheaded a Daniel Boone comeback that saw them score three touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
Moyer opened the Boone scoring with a 4-yard rushing touchdown to end the first quarter. Stoudt rushed for two more TDs while connecting with Moyer for another through the air in the final quarter, but Octorara proved too much.
Mastrippolitto accounted for five of Octorara’s touchdowns while running for 250 yards.
Octorara (3-1) did not pick up a first down until the third quarter even though it was up 20-6 at the half. The Braves scored a defensive touchdown and two long rushing touchdowns in the first half.
“It felt like it went back and forth a lot,” Braves coach Ed Smith said of his young team. “Momentum-wise, we knew we were the better team and we got kind of stale. We know we can be better in all areas.”
Octorara travels to Twin Valley while Daniel Boone will search for its first win at home against Lampeter-Strasburg.
