Conrad Weiser grad earns MAC Player of the Week honors

Conrad Weiser grad Logan Klitsch has been named Middle Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after accounting for all five touchdowns in Lebanon Valley’s 38–35 win Saturday at Albright, securing a winning season for the Dutchmen and a berth in the Bowl Series.

The junior quarterback threw for a career-high 321 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 78 yards and another score.

He engineered a 10-play, 71-yard drive in the final 1:34 to set up the game-winning 25-yard field goal as time expired.

Klitsch has completed 138-of-230 passes this season, with 13 touchdowns and five interceptions. He has thrown for 1,679 yards.

Klitsch appeared in six games last season for the Dutchmen and nine games in 2023.

He began his college career at Dartmouth, spending one season with the Big Green.

Klitsch set records at Weiser for passing yards in a game (409), season (2,470), and career (5,177), as well as for touchdown passes in a game (4), season (24), and career (51). He also set records for completions and completion percentage.

In his junior season, Weiser set a program record by averaging 39.3 points per game; the next season they averaged 37.1, second-highest in program history. The Scouts shared the Berks Football League Section 2 title with Klitsch at quarterback in 2020.
Lebanon Valley will play at Ursinus Saturday at 1 in the Centennial-MAC Bowl Series.

Albright’s Shayde Shultz, a freshman from Gettysburg, was named Special Teams Player of the Week after returning five kicks for a conference-high 231 yards. He had a 99-yard touchdown, the second-longest in program history and longest in the MAC this year. He finished the season as the league leader in both total return yards (597) and return yards per game (28.4).

Micah Bootman of Delaware Valley was named Defensive Player of the Week after recording nine tackles, two interceptions, and a pass breakup in a win over Weidner.
