Conrad Weiser grad Adam Kase earns national preseason recognition

Conrad Weiser grad Adam Kase, a senior at Kutztown University, has been named to D2 Football’s Elite 100 watch list, along with teammate CJ Brown..
The duo was tabbed to the “Squad” teams and are viewed as two of the top 100 players in the nation at their respective positions.
The D2Football.com Elite 100 Watch List was selected by the staff of D2Football.com with the input of numerous sitting head coaches as well as professional football scouting veteran Josh Buchanan.

The players listed in this release represent the official watch list for the D2Football.com 2024 Elite 100 Team, which will be announced at the conclusion of the season. The team includes first- and second-team selections for offense, defense, and special teams along with 25 “Squad” players for offense and defense.

Squad players are equivalent to “honorable mention” selections in similar national recognition lists.
Kase, an offensive lineman from Wernersville, earned All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East First Team honors, was tabbed a D2CCA All-Super Region 1 Second Teamer, and was named Don Hansen All-America Honorable Mention.

He started all 14 games last season and helped the offensive line that ranked in the Top 10 in Super Region I in three different statistical categories, including fourth in fewest tackles for loss allowed (4.23 per game), fifth in passing yards per completion (14.62) and ninth in fewest sacks allowed (1.31 per game).
Brown, a graduate student defensive back from Coatesville, played in 12 games last season, finishing with 39 tackles, including a career-high 24 solo tackles. He also recorded an interception and four passes defended.
Kutztown opens Thursday, Sept. 5, at 7:30 p.m., against Assumption.
