As usual, Jven Williams paves the way for Spartans’ L-L Section 4 all-star haul

Jven Williams is the most dominant lineman in Section 4 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League.

But then we knew that already, didn’t we?

The Wyomissing senior accepted an offer from Penn State last winter, then went about showing everyone why this season, dominating on both sides of the ball to lead the Spartans to a section title and perfect regular season.

Lancaster-Lebanon League coaches recognized that fact Tuesday at their annual banquet, naming the 6-5, 310-pound Williams Section 4’s Outstanding Lineman, the Offensive Lineman of the Year and a first-team pick at interior defensive line.

Williams is one of a section-high nine first-team picks for the Spartans and brought home one of their three special awards: Senior Matt Kramer was named Linebacker of the Year and Bob Wolfrum was named Coachf of the Year.

Berks Catholic’s Josiah Jordan was the only three-way first-team pick, earning honors at running back, kick returner and defensive back. He was named Defensive Back of the Year.

Conrad Weiser’s Adam Noll was a two-way pick, at punter and placekicker.

Wyomissing’s Caleb Brewer was one of four two-way picks, selected at interior defensive line and tight end; he was converted from tackle to tight end before the season.

The other two-way pick was Hunter Hildenbrand, a wide receiver and defensive back for Lampeter-Strasburg.

Wyomissing’s other first-team picks: wide receiver Ethan Brower, offensive tackle Pacen Ziegler, inside linebacker Ryker Jones and defensive back Drew Eisenhower.

Berks Catholic had five first-team picks, including defensive end Jackson Haas and long snapper Jaxon Geddio.

Conrad Weiser had five first-team picks, including wide receiver Trey Dianna, defensive lineman Natkeis Casiano and long snapper Evan Rittle.

Lampeter-Strasburg had seven first-team picks, Cocalico six.
