AJ Hofer ran for three touchdowns and Alex Vassallo had a career receiving night as Daniel Boone beat Muhlenberg 34-7 Friday in a Berks Football League Section 1 game at Laureldale.

The Blazers (1-1, 4-3) led 28-0 at the half.
Hofer rushed for 155 yards on 24 carries and scored on runs of 3, 4, and 3 yards.
Alex Vassallo’s 16-yard reception, off a Dean Rotter pass, helped the Blazers go up 7-0 in the first quarter. It was Rotter’s ninth TD pass this season.
Vassallo had three receptions on the 60-yard scoring drive and finished with 11 receptions for 172 yards, both career highs. The 11 catches are tied for second-most in program history.
Hofer’s first score capped another 60-yard drive and gave the Blazers a 14-0 lead after one quarter.
The Blazers took advantage of good field position to score their second-quarter TDs. They took over at the Muhlenberg (0-2, 0-7) 43 following a short punt, and Hofer scored on a 4-yard run for a 21-0 lead.
Jordan Meyers’ fumble recovery at the Muhls’ 3 set up JT Hogan’s 3-yard scoring run for a 28-0 lead.
Hofer and Hogan share the team lead with six touchdowns apiece.
Rotter completed 12-of-22 passes for 170 yards.
The Blazers got interceptions from Riley Brady and Cam Hirschman.
Gio Cavanna led the Muhls with 84 rushing yards on 14 attemps. Quarterback Adam Zaorski rushed for 46 yards and scored their only TD.
The Muhls have lost 24 straight games, the longest streak in program history.
The Blazers turned it over twice; the Muhls turned it over three times.
Boone hosts Reading High next week; Muhlenberg plays at Gov. Mifflin.
