Adam Kase, Nate Millard, Kam Wolfe earn All-PSAC honors for Kutztown

Conrad Weiser grad Adam Kase and Daniel Boone grad Nate Millard are among 12 all-conference picks for Kutztown University, which also netted Coach of the Year, Freshman of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year on the All-PSAC Eastern Division team, announced Wednesday.

Gov. Mifflin grad Kam Wolfe is a second-team pick at linebacker.

Two Wilson grads earned second-team spots: Isaiah Gilmore, a redshirt junior at Shippensburg, as a safety and Jack Wagner, a junior at Seton Hill, as a punter.

Head coach Jim Clemens was named Coach of the Year after the Golden Bears went 7-0 in the Pennsylvania Conference Eastern Division. They are 9-2 overall.

Quarterback Judd Novak, a Manheim Central grad, was named Freshman of the Year. Tyler Whary, an Upper Perkiomen grad, was named Defensive Player of the Year. Whary is a three-time all-conference pick.

Nate Millard

Kase, a senior right guard, has started 20 games over the last two seasons, including all 11 this year.

He has been a key in a Golden Bears running attack that is averaging 160 yards per game. Kutztown has allowed an average of 1.55 sacks per game, third-fewest in the league.

Millard, a sophomore, is the Golden  Bears’ punter. He leads the PSAC and ranks third in the nation in Division II with a 44.1 punting average. He’s the only punter in the conference with 10 or more punts of 50 yards or longer. He has placed 10 kicks inside the 20.

Millard also handles kickoffs.

Wolfe, a senior, had made a career-high 58 tackles, with six tackles for loss; he has two interceptions.

Novak has thrown for 1,721 yards and 15 TDs.

Whary leads the conference’s top—ranked defense with 62 tackles.

Clemens was also named Coach of the Year in 2018 and 2021.

Top-seeded Kutztown hosts Virginia Union Saturday at noon in an NCAA Division II first-round game.

The Golden Bears beat Slippery Rock 31-7 Saturday for their ninth straight win and third conference championship.
