Schuylkill Valley grad Drew Campbell earns all-conference honors at LVC

Schuylkill Valley grad Drew Campbell, a sophomore at Lebanon Valley, has been named to Middle Atlantic Conference all-conference football team at fullback.

Campbell, a quarterback and linebacker in high school, is a key blocker in the Dutchmen offensive attack and helped them to a 6-4 record this season.

They close their season Saturday at Muhlenberg College (9-1) in the Centennial-MAC Bowl Series.

The 5-10, 206-pound Campbell had 10 receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown this season. He did not have any rushing attempts.

Alvernia’s Dachan Thompson is a first-team pick at wide receiver. He had a team-leading 46 receptions for 896 yards and five TDs.

King’s Russell Minor-Shaw is the league’s Offensive Player of the Year.

Delaware Valley’s Anthony Puntolillo is the Defensive Player of the Year.

Del-Val’s Jack Fallon is Rookie of the Year and Del-Val’s Duke Greco is Coach of the Year.

Campbell was a two-way, first-team all-league pick as a senior at Schuylkill Valley, when he was selected at linebacker and All-Purpose Back.

Campbell was the recipient of a Berks Moore Football Officials scholarship and the Ron Perry Reading Baseball Umpires Memorial Scholarship as a senior at Schuylkill Valley.

Campbell also played basketball and baseball at Schuylkill Valley. He was the Panthers’ MVP in both football and baseball.
