Aanjay Feliciano enjoys record-breaking night in Conrad Weiser rout

Logan Klitsch threw four touchdown passes, and Aanjay Feliciano had three scoring catches, as Conrad Weiser defeated visiting Kutztown 62-30 in a Berks Football League Section 2 game Friday night.

The Scouts (4-1, 7-2) led 42-14 at the half and 55-14 in the third quarter.

Feliciano broke program records for receiving yards in a season and touchdown catches in a season, both previously held by Matt Weiser. The senior has 52 receptions for 1,054 yards and 12 TD catches this season. He had seven catches for 136 yards Friday.

Klitsch continued to add to his program-record totals as he completed each of five passes, for 139 yards. He pushed his career passing total to 4,675 yards and his touchdown total to 46 — tied for sixth-most in Berks history. Klitsch has thrown for 1,970 yards and 19 TDs this season.

He and two other Weiser quarterbacks combined to complete 12-of-13 passes for 231 yards.

Trey Diana caught Klitsch’s first scoring pass, good for 49 yards, to give the Scouts the lead for good at 7-6.

The Cougars (0-5, 2-7) went up 6-0 on Ethan Lafferty’s 5-yard touchdown pass from Jake Lafferty.

Kutztown’s Lennon Neiman rushed for 128 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns, one on a 19-yard pass from Jake Lafferty. Neiman pushed his season rushing total to 1,161 yards, second in Berks to Gov. Mifflin’s Nick Singleton.

Cole Rothermel ran for a pair of touchdowns and rushed for a team-high 81 yards for the Scouts.

Weiser closes the regular season next Saturday at Wyomissing, needing a win to force a tie for the Section 2 title.

The win enhanced their chances in the District 3 Class 4A playoff field; they entered the night No. 5 in the power rankings.
