Fearless Friday Football Forecast for Week 3 (updated with results)

The week before the start of league play in high school football is often . . . a little blah. For some reason, the Week 3 match-ups aren’t nearly as exciting or intriguing as those in Weeks 1 and 2.
That’s the case this week, at least according to our Fearless Forecasters: Five of the 11 games are being called clean sweeps; four others have the Forecasters leaning heavily to one side, 12-1.
There’s not a whole lot of disagreement about this week’s winners on our staff. Not that that means anything: Just look at our lousy picks last week. No one did better than 11-2 and one unlucky fellow was below .500.
Because of the cancellation by Martin Luther King and the uncertainty as to whether or not Wilson will be able to pick up a game for this weekend we have taken the Bulldogs off the board.
Each week, MikeDragoSports.com staff writers and photographers, along with Jeff Reinhart of football partner LNP/Lancasteronline, and Darin Zeiner of Jerry Geleff Media will pick the games. We’ll keep standings and the Forecaster with the most points at the end of the season will get a big prize! (Big being a relative term.)
Each correct pick earns one point; if a Forecaster “doubles down” on a Berks team and is correct he gets two points.
Remember: Each Fearless Forecaster can only “down double” on a team once during the regular season (and once again during the postseason).
