Each Wednesday MikeDragoSports.com goes one-on-one with a Berks football player, to find out what’s on his mind — on the field and off.

Senior, Wide Receiver and Free Safety
Q: If you could be recruited by any colleges in the country, which would be at the top of your list?

It would probably be for baseball, and in the SEC.
No. 1 would be Arkansas, because of them consistently being one of the top programs in the country.
No. 2 would be Vanderbilt, because of the culture they have and the amount of pro players (they’ve produced).
No. 3 would be Penn State, just because it’s in-state and it’s my favorite school to watch.
Q: Who’s the best player you have ever faced in a game?
Probably Isiah Taylor from Pottsgrove a couple years ago (a 41-21 loss in 2019); he was the hardest guy to try to bring down. (He scored five touchdowns against the Bears.)
Q: Who’s your favorite NFL player?
Saquon Barkley. Love how hard he works and how humble he is; not many athletes are like that.

Q: If they made a movie about Boyertown football, which actor would play the part of head coach T.J. Miller?
I’m not sure but he would have to be a very high-energy guy with lots of dad jokes.
Q: What concert tickets would you like to get your hands on?
Kenny Chesney or Jason Aldean.
Q: Which drill do you hate most at practice every day?
The most dreaded drill at practice is “DB individual;” the constant back-peddling gets tiring.

Q: What’s your all-time favorite football movie?
“Remember the Titans.”
I liked watching a team come together and bond with one another and really show the brotherhood that football creates between teammates.
Q: What’s the one TV show that you watch regularly that might surprise people?
“All-American.”

It’s the best football show/movie on Netflix. I like how it portrays life outside of football and how difficult it can be to have a balance in both.
Q: Who’s the high school player you most looked up to when you were a kid?
Jerry Kapp. He made so many great plays (for Boyertown) and was an all around leader.
Q: What’s your favorite football memory?
Sophomore year, winning my first high school game (35-27 at Upper Perkiomen).
It just felt so much different than winning at any other level.
10 Questions, presented by ATT Sports, Inc., will appear each Wednesday on MikeDragoSports.com throughout the 2021 football season.
