Muhlenberg blanked at Solanco

Brody Mellinger scored four touchdowns, one on a 97-yard run, as Solanco defeated visiting Muhlenberg 42-0 Friday night in a non-league game at Quarryville.

The loss dropped the Muhls to 0-3 and extended their program-record losing streak to 20 games.

Aaron Shuker led the Muhls with 65 yards rushing on 10 carries. Gio Cavanna had four receptions for 65 yards.

Quarterback Adam Zaorski completed 6-of-12 passes for 105 yards for Muhlenberg.

Mellinger rushed for 177 yards and scored three first-half TDs.

Elijah Reimold scored on a 32-yard run for Solanco (2-1) and finished with 96 rushing yards.

Josiah Forren’s interception in end zone thwarted Muhlenberg’s best scoring chance.

The Muhls were limited to 60 yards and two first downs in the first half.

Muhlenberg hosts Kennard-Dale Friday.
