Week 13: Fearless Friday Football Forecast (updated with results)
As the field thins the level of play rises each Friday night the games get tougher to pick. There are a lot of close match-ups as the District 3 Tournament heads to its semifinal and championship rounds.
Then again, looking at the Forecasters’ picks the games don’t look too close. Manheim Township, which lost to Hempfield in the regular season, is an 11-2 favorite in the rematch. West Perry is 11-1, but none of our Forecasters went for the Mustangs.
Once again no one has picked against Exeter or Wyomissing. And why should they?
The most intriguing game of th weekend might be Cocalico at Solanco. The Mules are unbeaten but just an 8-5 favorite according to the Fearless Forecasters.
Each week throughout the season MikeDragoSports.com staff writers and photographers, along with Jeff Reinhart of football partner LNP/Lancasteronline, are picking the games. We’re keeping standings and the Forecaster with the most points at the end of the season will get a big prize! (Big being a relative term.)
Each correct pick earns one point; if a Forecaster “doubles down” and is correct he gets two points.
Each Fearless Forecaster can “down double” on a given team only once during the postseason and it must be a Berks team.
