10 Questions with Exeter defensive back Jovan Hollis, presented by UECU

Jovan Hollis

Senior safety

Q: If you had won the Megamillions jackpot last week what’s the first thing you’ve would’ve bought?

I would’ve bought each of my parents their dream car: A Cadillac Escalade Premium Luxury Platinum edition and a Hot Rod (1931 Chevy Coupe).

Q: Who would win an arm wrestling competition on your team?

Lucas Palange; if you’ve ever seen his arms you know why.

Q: What’s your favorite class in school right now?

Forensic Science, because the teacher (Shannon Dieffenbach) is cool and I have my friends in that class.

Jovan Hollis

Q: Who’s the hardest-working player on your team?

Mason Rotelli, because he worked hard to get where he’s at. He was working hard all summer to get that QB1 spot and his hard work ended up paying off. He continues to work hard at practice every day.

Q: What’s the one team you would hate to see win the Super Bowl?

The Bucs or the Cowboys. I’m not a big fan of Tom Brady and I’m an Eagles fan so I hate seeing the Cowboys win.

Q: What’s the hardest hit you’ve ever taken on a football field?

It happened this year, and by my own teammate — Joey (Schlaffer). We both went to block a punt and it didn’t end well for me.

Q: If they made a movie about your football team which actor would play the part of Coach Bauer? Will Patton; he played Coach Bill Yoast in “Remember the Titans.” (Just like Coach Bauer) he pushed his team to be better and do everything to keep moving forward.

Q: Who’s the most famous person you’ve ever met?

Brett Myers; he played for the Philadelphia Phillies when they won the World Series. My mom is friends with his wife and we all went to watch the Reading Phillies play.

Q: Which teammate would you least like to go head-to-head against in a game?

I’m not really trying to guard Joey Schlaffer, he’s just an amazing player all around.

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration in football?

(Former Baltimore Ravens linebacker) Ray Lewis. Growing up I always listened to his motivational speeches and he taught me that this game is bigger than football.
