10 Questions with Wyomissing’s Drew Eisenhower, presented by UECU
Drew Eisenhower
Senior running back/safety
Q: You were on the varsity as a freshman. Which of the seniors on that championship team influenced you the most in the player you have become?
I would say Max Hurleman did. He showed me what it took to change the culture and to win. With the way he worked out in the off-season and how he practiced, it showed me what it took to be that kind of football player and to lead a team.
Q: What’s your favorite class in school?
I like my AP Environmental Science class. This is my favorite class right now because of our great teacher and the ecosystem labs we are doing are really cool.

Q: What’s the one team you would hate to see win the Super Bowl this season?
I have to go Eagles with this one. I’m a Cowboys fan, so to see the Eagles win it would not be the best feeling in the world.
Q: Which of your teammates makes you laugh the most at practice?
Ryker Jones. He is always coming up with new jokes and finding a way to make us laugh or just relax and have a good time at practice.
Q: You can play a round of golf with anyone who ever lived. How do you fill out the rest of your foursome?
I would fill it with Mike Trout, Christian McCaffrey, and Steph Curry; they are all my favorite athletes in their respective sports.
Q: What’s your most embarrassing moment on a football field?
Probably our Middletown game my freshman year. I went to make a tackle and got my head stiff-armed right into the ground.
Q: Which teammate would you least like to go head-to-head against in a game?
J’ven Williams. He’s huge, fast, and very strong. I don’t think I would stand a chance against him.
Q: Do you remember the first time you scored a touchdown?
It was my freshman year at Hamburg. We were up by a bunch at the time so it didn’t mean much to the score but it was a great and amazing feeling getting my first varsity touchdown.
Q: You’ve got a younger brother on the team, and another brother playing youth football. What’s your best advice to them about being successful?
Always give it your all and work as hard as you can all the time. Take every off season and practice as serious as a game and work harder there so when it comes time for the games you have already put in the hard work.
Q: What’s the one thing Coach Wolfrum has said that you think you’ll remember 30 years from now?Something he said to me that I will never forget is that we have to learn to be uncomfortable in our workouts or practices so when we get on the field it’s nothing new to us.

“10 Questions” is presented each Wednesday throughout
