Week 10: Fearless Friday Football Forecast (updated with results)
It’s the final week of the regular season and this might be the toughest week yet to pick the games. Wilson at Manheim Township, Exeter at Manheim Central, Lancaster Catholic at Schuylkill Valley . . . they’re all big games and all look like toss-ups.
Even Gov. Mifflin at Warwick has our Fearless Forecasters arguing amongst themselves: Nine Forecasters are going with the Warriors, the rest with the Mustangs.
The Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 2 championship between Exeter and Manheim looks like a pick ’em, though our Forecasters like the Eagles, 9-4. Maybe some home cookin’ there.
The opposite’s true in the Section 5 title match; most of the Forecasters are leaning toward Catholic.
Each week, MikeDragoSports.com staff writers and photographers, along with Jeff Reinhart of football partner LNP/Lancasteronline, will pick the games. We’ll keep standings and the Forecaster with the most points at the end of the season will get a big prize! (Big being a relative term.)
Each correct pick earns one point; if a Forecaster “doubles down” and is correct he gets two points.
Remember: Each Fearless Forecaster can only “down double” on a team once during the regular season (and once again during the postseason).
We will continue to post picks weekly through the end of the District 3 playoffs.
