Week 6: Fearless Friday Football Forecast (updated with results)
Either our Fearless Forecasters are getting smarter or the games have gotten much more predictable once league play began (probably the latter).
Five Forecasters went a sterling 13-1 last week and six others missed just two games.
Hempfield’s 17-14 upset over Manheim Township tripped up 12-of-13 Forecasters, otherwise we would’ve had a really impressive showing.
Each week, MikeDragoSports.com staff writers and photographers, along with Jeff Reinhart of football partner LNP/Lancasteronline, will pick the games. We’ll keep standings and the Forecaster with the most points at the end of the season will get a big prize! (Big being a relative term.)
Each correct pick earns one point; if a Forecaster “doubles down” and is correct he gets two points.
Remember: Each Fearless Forecaster can only “down double” on a team once during the regular season (and once again during the postseason).
This looks like another “predictable” week of outcomes, as seven of the 13 games on the Week 6 card ended up as a clean sweep by our Forecasters. Only one game has our panel split: Kennard-Dale at Fleetwood, with the Rams earning a slight 7-6 edge.
