QB Kye Harting has hand in five TDs as Garden Spot blanks Fleetwood

Garden Spot quarterback Kye Harting stole the show Friday night as he led the Spartans to a dominating 44-0 win over visiting Fleetwood in a Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 3 game at New Holland.
The Tigers (0-2, 2-3) were held to 5 rushing yards and 124 total yards, and were shut out for the first time since 2017, when they lost 56-0 to Exeter.
Harting was involved in every Garden Spot touchdown.
The Spartans (2-0, 4-1) got three field goals from Nicklas Gleason, including a 40-yarder, and took a 37-0 lead in the first half.
Garden Spot held Fleetwoodto 127 total yards. Gleason had two interceptions to top off the D’s impressive performance.
Fleetwood quarterback Jack Riffle completed 16-of-29 passes, five of them to Mason Musitano.
Harting was 6-for-16 through the air with 167 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. He rushed for 179 yards on 10 carries with two touchdowns on the ground, one of those being a 79-yarder.
Fleetwood returns home next week to play Kennard-Dale Friday in a non-league game.
