10 Questions with Berks Catholic center Ty Barreto, presented by UECU

Ty Barreto

Senior center

Q: What’s the one super power you wish you possessed?

I wish I had the ability to fly, just so I can get places quicker.

Q: Who’s the most under-rated player on your team?

I feel it would be (senior lineman) Jackson Haas; he just has that dog in him.

Q: If you could add one skill to your game, what would it be?

Elite level footwork.

Ty Barreto

Q: How much time do you spend each week studying Hudl?

I spend a couple hours each week watching film, mostly in film study.

Q: What’s your go-to burger or pizza place?

My go-to burger is definitely a Wawa burger; somethings just different about them.

Q: Which teammate would you least like to face in a live contact drill?

I would least like to face off against (senior lineman) Luke Bennethum; he has very sharp nails that cut you no matter what.

Q: What’s on your Spotify play list before a big game?

“Dreams and Nightmares,” by Meek Mill.

Q: You’re a center. If you could switch to another position for your final game, which would it be?

Definitely fullback, so I could run trap.

Q: What’s the one thing you think you’ll miss most about high school football?

One thing I’ll miss most is my teammates and coaches, and our student section, for sure.

Q: What’s your favorite football memory?

My favorite football memory has to be the last Berks Brawl (against Wyomissing); I remember watching that as a kid and thinking about how I wanted to be like those guys.

“10 Questions” is presented each Wednesday throughout the Berks

football season by Utilities Employees Credit Union.
