Jason Guarente joining coverage team at MikeDragoSports

Award-winning sportswriter Jason Guarente is joining the MikeDragoSports.com writing team.

Guarente has written about Berks County soccer, football, basketball and track and field for the past 11 years.

He will be covering Berks football games and providing extensive Berks soccer coverage throughout the season.

His soccer coverage will begin this week, with boys and girls season previews, top players to watch, and in-depth features on Berks’ top players.

Guarente has reported on some of Berks County’s most memorable events, including Wyomissing’s 2012 state football championship, Reading High’s boys basketball championships and recent state championship soccer runs by Fleetwood and Wilson.

He has provided in-depth profiles of legendary Berks coaches such as Ray Buss and Bob Rentschler and written many long-form features about some of Berks’ greatest athletes, past and present.
