It was yet another game senior Drew Engle and Raider Nation will remember forever. The star running back scored five touchdowns, leading Twin Valley to a 55-15 win in a District 3 4A quarterfinal over West Perry Friday night in Elverson.

The win, Twin Valley’s 11th, set a program record.
The third-seeded Raiders will go on the road Friday to face second-seeded West York, a 20-0 winner over 10th-seeded Middletown.
Engle, who finished with a season-high 218 yards, set a program record against Lampeter-Strasburg earlier this season with six TDs in a game.
He started the scoring for the Raiders (11-0) with an electrifying 80-yard scoring run on his first touch.
Fellow running back Lucas Myers followed that on the next possession with a 33-yard power run, extending the lead to 14-3. (Myers is closing in on 1,000 yards. He needs 81 yards to hit that milestone.)
However, it wasn’t pretty early on for the Raiders. Twin Valley had two costly fumbles giving sixth-seeded West Perry (8-3) excellent field position and chances to do some damage. The first fumble came on a muffed punt by Ben Grundy; Myers fumbled at the 1, ending a big drive in the first quarter.
But when you have a dominant defense and Drew Engle those mistakes can be forgotten very quickly.
On Twin Valley’s next possession Engle scored his second touchdown — a 6-yard run to break the Twin Valley all-time touchdown mark at 50. He passed the record held by Evan Johnson. His historic night was just getting started.
West Perry mounted a 15-play drive late in the second quarter but the Raiders defense locked up and sacked quarterback Mason Page three straight times, forcing them into a fourth-and-21. On the next play, Page looked to the end zone but threw it into the hands of Engle at the 5, who returned it 95 yards for a score, another program record.

“The coach called a great defense,” said Engle. “I was in the ‘two vertical’ and was in the perfect position to intercept the pass. I saw daylight and went for it.”
The rout was on.
Engle scored his fourth touchdown on a 28-yard run on his first touch of the second half, sending the game into another mercy rule, the 10th for Twin Valley this season.
Engle wasn’t done. Midway through the fourth quarter he returned a kickoff 75 yards to the end zone, capping off the memorable and record-breaking night, a Raiders quarterfinal victory, and a trip to the District 3 4A semifinals.
The story doesn’t end for Engle and his Raiders teammates. Next week he has a chance to break another program record for career rushing yards. He needs 245 yards to break Dominic Caruso’s record of 3,684 yards. The way he has been playing it shouldn’t be too difficult to achieve.
“Drew has had the same attitude since he was a little kid,” Raiders coach Brett Myers said. “Same results on the field. Always has a great attitude. Always competitive and always physical. Nothing he does surprises me at this point.”
