Fearless Friday Football Forecast, presented by State Farm agent Sean Reali (updated with results)
The Fearless Forecasters are tied up in knots this week.
That Exeter vs. Conestoga Valley showdown in Section 2 has the Forecasters split down the middle, six apiece. That’s the way the series went last season: The Buckskins won one, the Eagles won one.
A week ago everyone thought this would be a battle of unbeatens, then Exeter went and lost to 3-4 Hempfield. Would the Eagles have been a favorite among the Forecasters had they taken care of business last week? Not a single Forecaster picked against them all season, until now.
There’s another coin flip game, albeit without as much riding on it: Governor Mifflin vs. Elizabethtown. Six Forecasters say the Mustangs win; six say they don’t.
Columbia vs. Kutztown may well be one of the most interesting games of the week. The Cougars have won just once this season but they’ve drawn five Forecasters to their side of the aisle.
There’s a mega showdown in Section 4, too, with Lampeter-Strasburg visiting Twin Valley. Both teams are ranked among the Top 10 in the state in Class 4A. Looks like a close game — but not to the Forecasters. The Raiders are a 12-0 pick here.
Each week, MikeDragoSports.com staff writers, photographers, and contributors, along with writers from football partner LNP/Lancasteronline, will pick all the Berks games, along with other selected Lancaster-Lebanon League games.
We’ll keep standings and the Forecaster with the most points at the end of the season will get a (relatively) big prize!
Each correct pick earns one point; if a Forecaster “doubles down” on a Berks team and is correct he gets two points. Each Fearless Forecaster can “down double” on a team only once during the regular season (and once again during the postseason).
