Fearless Friday Football Forecast, presented by State Farm agent Sean Reali (updated with results)
So it turns out Warwick’s lofty status in the L-L strasophere was not justified. Last week 8-of-12 Forecasters picked the Warriors to win and were burned by Solanco, which beat Warwick in a rout.
Same goes for Forecaster Sam Cavalieri, who appeared to be invincible, missing just three games in the first three weeks. The Football Gods caught up with him last week, taking him down for a couple of safeties — four points in the loss column for Sammy!
Not we’re looking at a four-way tie for first place in the great Forecaster race of 2025. That’s bound to get scrambled what with some tough picks ahead this week.
Muhlenberg hasn’t beaten Governor Mifflin since George Dubya was in the White House but the Muhls are the pick this week — by a hanging chad-like margin, 7-5.
Kutztown rarely draws any Forecasters to its sideline but the Cougars are an overwhelming favorite this week, 9-3 over Hamburg. (One of us even doubled-down on the Cougs if you can believe that.)
Conrad Weiser is 4-0 yet still hasn’t convinced the Forecasters staff; Manheim Central is only 2-2 but is a strong favorite here, 10-2.
The toss-up game of the week is Garden Spot at Fleetwood. The Forecasters are split 6-6. The Tigers have taken Cavalieri down three times in four weeks; can they do the same to The Spot?
Each week, MikeDragoSports.com staff writers, photographers, and contributors, along with writers from football partner LNP/Lancasteronline, will pick all the Berks games, along with other selected Lancaster-Lebanon League games.
We’ll keep standings and the Forecaster with the most points at the end of the season will get a (relatively) big prize!
Each correct pick earns one point; if a Forecaster “doubles down” on a Berks team and is correct he gets two points. Each Fearless Forecaster can “down double” on a team only once during the regular season (and once again during the postseason).
