Brown rushed for 122 yards on five carries, all in the first half, with a 60-yard TD run and a 51-yard TD reception. He had 173 yards from scrimmage.

Kozik made his presence felt in multiple ways offensively, scoring on a 13-yard reception and a 4-yard rush.

The state-ranked Eagles (2-0, 5-0) have outscored their opponents 241-38 this season.

“We’re happy to get through this one without any injuries,” said Exeter head coach Matt Bauer.

Exeter starting quarterback Riley Martinez suffered an injury Week 2 against Boyertown that required surgery and likely ended his season. Second-string quarterback Jake Hafer has played exceptionally well in his absence.

Hafer completed 5-of-6 passes for 144 yards and three touchdowns to three different receivers in the first half.

The loss was the 46th straight for the Cedars (0-2, 0-5).

Exeter’s defense outscored the Cedars. Dylan Donate returned an interception 23 yards for a TD in the first quarter for the Eagles’ second score.

Just before halftime, Lebanon quarterback Anthony Klish attempted to spike the ball but ran with the ball before spiking it resulting in a ruled fumble that was returned 64 yards by linebacker Aidan Dauble.

The Eagles led 57-6 at halftime.

The Cedars scored on an 80-yard touchdown reception by wideout Malachi Briddell.

Bauer mentioned that as something to work on.

“We will definitely get that (play) corrected,” he said of giving up the long scoring play. “That’s going to be a point of emphasis this week.”

Key play

On the game’s first play, Exeter quarterback Jake Hafer found Jackson Kozik for a 50-yard gain to the Cedars 7, setting up a score two plays later.
