State rankings: Wyomissing moves up to No. 2 after knocking off No. 1

Twin Valley’s run as the top-ranked Class 4A team in the PennLive.com state rankings ended after three weeks following a 34-24 loss to Wyomissing.
The Spartans moved up two spots, to No. 2. Defending PIAA Class 4A champ Aliquippa moves up one spot to No. 1, where it opened the season.
Wilson is back in the Class 6A Top 10 for the first time this season after beating McCaskey for its fifth straight win. The Bulldogs are at No. 10, four spots behind Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1 rival Manheim Township. Those teams meet in Week 10 at Neffsville.
Unbeaten Exeter remains listed as a Team To Watch in Class 5A.
Lampeter-Strasburg, the third Section 4 team in the Class 4A Top 10, moved up two spots to No. 5; the Pioneers meet Twin Valley Friday.
