Week 6: Fearless Friday Football Forecast (updated with results)

There’s a lot of hand-holding among the Fearless Forecasters this week. All 12 are in complete agreement on seven of the 13 games: We’re all-in on Wilson, Wyomissing, Exeter, Twin Valley, Elco, Lancaster Catholic, and Cedar Crest.
Even more surprising, nine of the 12 Forecasters are picking Berks Catholic — coming off a tough road loss at Lancaster Catholic — over Schuylkill Valley, the preseason favorite in Section 5 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League. That looms as the most interesting game of the week.
The real toss-up, in our eyes, comes at Elizabethtown where Muhlenberg tries to bounce back from a drubbing at Gov. Mifflin Sunday afternoon. The Forecasters split 6-6 on that call.
That looms as the pivotal pick of the week and Coach Joe Mays — fresh off the first 14-0 week of the season by any of the Forecasters — is going with the Muhls. Joe’s the two-time defending champ and tied for first place again this season. What’s he know about the Muhls that half of us are missing?
Each week, MikeDragoSports.com staff writers, photographers, and contributors, along with Mike Gross and Jeff Reinhart of football partner LNP/Lancasteronline, will pick all the Berks games, along with other selected other Lancaster-Lebanon League games.
We’ll keep standings and the Forecaster with the most points at the end of the season will get a (relatively) big prize!
Each correct pick earns one point; if a Forecaster “doubles down” on a Berks team and is correct he gets two points. Each Fearless Forecaster can “down double” on a team only once during the regular season (and once again during the postseason)
