Grace Reedy finished writing her high school basketball story as Exeter’s all-time leading scorer and now the first player from her program to be selected to an All-State team.
Wyomissing’s Amaya Stewart, a junior, has already written plenty of chapters of her story, yet the ink still isn’t dry after she was named All-State for the second straight year.
Reedy and Stewart are the lone Berks Girls League players selected to the Pennsylvania Sportswriters All-State girls basketball team.
Reedy is a third-team pick in Class 5A third-team and is the first player to claim All-State honors since the girls team was first picked in the mid-1990s.
“I am extremely proud of Grace,” Exeter head coach Derek Wolfe said. “She has been a huge part of our program’s improvement. She is a tremendous scorer and rebounder who led us to two straight division titles and playoff appearances in the last two years.”
Reedy, a 5-11 forward, averaged 20.9 points per game to lead the Berks Girls League in scoring for the second consecutive season. She led the Eagles to back-to-back Berks II titles and BCIAA playoff appearances and to the District 3 playoffs for the first time in nine years.
She finished her career with a program-record 1,403 points and tied for 36th in Berks history, with Fleetwood’s Alexis Hess, who now plays at Kansas State.

Stewart is following the trajectory as the Fleetwood product; Wyomissing’s star is a repeat selection on the Class 4A first team.
Hess was the last Berks girl selected All-State three times in a row, making the Class 5A third team as a sophomore, 5A first team as a junior, and 4A first team as a senior.
Twin Valley’s Peyton McDaniel, who plays at James Madison, was also a three-time selection, making the Class 5A third team in 2018, second team in 2019, and first team in 2020.
Schuylkill Valley’s Corielle Yarde (2006-2008), who played at Marist, and Daniel Boone’s Crista Ricketts (2000-2002), who played at LaSalle, made three straight All-State teams before that.
Stewart could become the only Berks girl to be a three-time All-State first-team selection.
“This is an example of hard work and dedication from this young lady,” Wyomissing head coach Aaron Anders said. “She loves the game and it shows when she’s on the court. She’s an incredible teammate and will continue to grow because she’s so hungry to learn and get better. We are so proud of her.”
Stewart, a 6-1 center, averaged 19.5 points per game in leading the Spartans to the best start in Berks girls basketball history and back-to-back Berks and District 3 titles.
Stewart has been named MikeDragoSports.com Player of the Year in each of the past two seasons.
Wyomissing won its first 31 games before falling to Blackhawk in the PIAA semifinals, the furthest the Spartans have advanced in 20 years.
Stewart, who holds college scholarship offers from Temple, Maine, Tampa, USC Upstate, and Bethune Cookman, has scored 1,339 points, 45th in Berks history,
She is fourth in program scoring, trailing Rachel Hoffman (1,886), Adrian Budischak (1,638), and Caitlin Moser (1,497).
Lily Seyfert was the last Spartan to be named All-State, with selections in 2020 and 2021; she finished her career with 1,297 points.
