10 Questions with Reading High’s Joshua Williams, presented by ATT Sports, Inc.
Each Wednesday MikeDragoSports.com goes one-on-one with a Berks football player to find out what’s on his mind — on the field and off.

Joshua Williams, Reading High
Senior wide receiver
Q: Who would win an arm wrestling competition on your team?
I think (senior wide receiver) DeShawn Wilson would win; he’s like the strongest on the team.
Q: If you could add one skill to your game, what would it be?
Being able to catch better, because I dropped multiple footballs this season.
Q: Which class in school is even more interesting than football practice?
I think my electrical shop at CTC (Reading Muhlenberg Career & Technology Center). I get to learn about future job opportunities. [Note: Josh is planning a career as an electrician.]
Q: Who’s the best football player ever to play at Reading High?
It has to be Lenny Moore.
[Note: Lenny Moore, known as the “Reading Rocket,” played for the Red Knights from 1949-51 and went on to star at Penn State and with the Baltimore Colts.]
Q: What’s the one super-power you wish you possessed?
The ability to pause time, because everything would be so easy to manipulate. I would use it to catch up on school work and catching the football.
Q: Who is the most under-rated player on your team?
Probably (junior wide receiver) David Philistin, because he missed a big chunk of the season and scored in his first game back.
Q: If you could change one thing about high school football what would it be?
The number of games; this season felt really short.
Q: You’re in charge of the lunch menu at Reading High. What’s the first thing you add? And the first thing you get rid of?
The first thing I would add is the chicken that we used to get a couple years ago. I would remove the General Tso’s noodles.
Q: You’re good at football. What sport are you the worst at?
Tennis.
Q: If you could hang out with any celebrity or pro athlete for the day, who would it be and what would you do?
A: It would have to be (former San Francisco 49er) Jerry Rice because he is the best wide receiver ever.
