10 Questions with Daniel Boone senior Ryan Souder, presented by UECU
Ryan Souder
Senior linebacker/running back
Q: Halloween’s coming up: What’s the first candy you’re stealing from your little brother or sister’s stash? And what’s the one you’ll toss in the trash?
Definitely taking either Reese’s Pieces or a bag of the Lifesaver Gummies; give me a bag of them and they’re gone. I’m definitely throwing out all the Pixy Stix.
Q: If you could ask any NFL player a question, who would you talk to and what would you want to know?
I would ask Tom Brady what his motivation was knowing he wasn’t as athletic as the QBs starting in front of him.

Q: If you invented a time machine, would you go back in time or ahead?
I would go forward about 100 years to see how I made out and see what life is like a century in the future.
Q: What’s your biggest motivation for success in football?
I simply love playing the game and making memories with my brothers.
Q: If you win the Megamillions jackpot what are the first three things you’ll buy?
My own NFL team, a beach house in the Outer Banks and a bunch of golf bars.
Q: What’s the hardest hit you’ve ever taken on a football field?
My freshman year I was pancaked on scout team by our two starting linemen because they were mad I kept making plays.
Q: You’re in charge of the lunch menu at Daniel Boone. What’s the first thing you add? And the first thing you dump?
I’m adding a taco bar and getting rid of any type of chicken (I don’t trust it).
Q: Who’s the hardest-working player on your team?
Either Robbie Burns or Ethan Kryman. They have the best work ethic out of everyone on the team and are constantly working to get better.
Q: When you visit the creamery at Penn State, what’s your go-to flavor?
I go for chocolate, raspberry or coffee. I can never choose one.
Q: What’s your favorite football memory?
Beating Ephrata 33-14 last year and getting named (Body Zone Physical Therapy) Defensive Player of the Week. I felt like I could have played a second game right after that game ended.

“10 Questions” is presented each Wednesday throughout
